Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s documentary “Home” is a trip across our planet Earth that allows us to see experience our home as never before. The film is a tour of Earth’s ecologies, starting from elementary life to cities. It starts by taking the viewer back to the beginning of time and explains the creation of life on Earth. It focuses mainly on how humans changed the world and their great impact on it. The majority of environmental issues are dealt with in the film; global water shortages, exhaustion of mineral supplies and other natural resources, climate change and rising sea levels and many others. The film ends by giving some solutions that would prevent us from self destruction.

This is a documentary that examines a widely debated Mayan prediction based on their ancient calendar that the world will come to its end in the year 2012. The film contains extensive interviews with twelve leading experts on the topic of the 2012 mystery – scientists, researchers and writers whose opinion viewers get throughout the film. Both sides of the story are presented – those that are predicting an apocalypse, and those who believe humans will be entering a new age of consciousness. The ancient Mayan prophecy may forecast utter destruction, or a miraculous rebirth. What will it be?
